Both teams are seeking their first win of the season, so one of them will leave Fiserv Forum still looking [[2]](https://roundtable.io/sports/nba/bucks/news/milwaukee-bucks-announce-clean-injury-report-for-chicago-bulls-game). The game is scheduled for Friday, October 23, at Fiserv Forum [[2]](https://roundtable.io/sports/nba/bucks/news/milwaukee-bucks-announce-clean-injury-report-for-chicago-bulls-game). It was moved to the afternoon because the World Series would otherwise conflict with it, since Game 1 is at night in Milwaukee [[2]](https://roundtable.io/sports/nba/bucks/news/milwaukee-bucks-announce-clean-injury-report-for-chicago-bulls-game). If you are planning to watch, the afternoon start is the detail to check. ## A night to honor Don Nelson The Bucks will honor Don Nelson during the home opener [[2]](https://roundtable.io/sports/nba/bucks/news/milwaukee-bucks-announce-clean-injury-report-for-chicago-bulls-game). Taylor Jenkins, the Bucks' head coach, will lead the team onto the floor for that ceremony and then for the game itself [[1]](https://www.channel3000.com/news/milwaukee-bucks-host-chicago-bulls-in-home-opener-on-television-wisconsin/article_f4c2f2a5-85d4-4e06-9f63-84f00575132e.html) [[2]](https://roundtable.io/sports/nba/bucks/news/milwaukee-bucks-announce-clean-injury-report-for-chicago-bulls-game). ## How Milwaukee lost its opener The Bucks opened the season with a 128-116 loss to the Washington Wizards [[1]](https://www.channel3000.com/news/milwaukee-bucks-host-chicago-bulls-in-home-opener-on-television-wisconsin/article_f4c2f2a5-85d4-4e06-9f63-84f00575132e.html). They played well in the first half but fell short against Trae Young, Anthony Davis and the Wizards [[2]](https://roundtable.io/sports/nba/bucks/news/milwaukee-bucks-announce-clean-injury-report-for-chicago-bulls-game). Tyler Herro led all scorers in that game with 24 points on 9 of 21 shooting [[1]](https://www.channel3000.com/news/milwaukee-bucks-host-chicago-bulls-in-home-opener-on-television-wisconsin/article_f4c2f2a5-85d4-4e06-9f63-84f00575132e.html). Jaime Jaquez Jr. added 22 points [[2]](https://roundtable.io/sports/nba/bucks/news/milwaukee-bucks-announce-clean-injury-report-for-chicago-bulls-game). Milwaukee started Myles Turner, Herro, Jaquez, Kyle Kuzma and Ryan Rollins [[2]](https://roundtable.io/sports/nba/bucks/news/milwaukee-bucks-announce-clean-injury-report-for-chicago-bulls-game). Jenkins said the Bucks could not keep the Wizards out of the paint and went against a set defense too often [[3]](https://establishtherun.com/nba-matchups-october-23-2/). ## How Chicago lost its opener The Bulls opened with a 135-92 loss to the Toronto Raptors [[1]](https://www.channel3000.com/news/milwaukee-bucks-host-chicago-bulls-in-home-opener-on-television-wisconsin/article_f4c2f2a5-85d4-4e06-9f63-84f00575132e.html). Matas Buzelis led Chicago with 17 points, shooting 2 of 8 from the field [[1]](https://www.channel3000.com/news/milwaukee-bucks-host-chicago-bulls-in-home-opener-on-television-wisconsin/article_f4c2f2a5-85d4-4e06-9f63-84f00575132e.html). Turnovers were a big part of the problem. The Bulls had a 24.1% turnover rate against the Raptors [[3]](https://establishtherun.com/nba-matchups-october-23-2/). Caleb Wilson had nine turnovers and a 16/4/0 line [[3]](https://establishtherun.com/nba-matchups-october-23-2/). Splitter said Wilson was playing too much in a crowd and that the Raptors' physicality caused too many turnovers [[3]](https://establishtherun.com/nba-matchups-october-23-2/). ## Injuries and lineups The Bucks have a clean injury report with no one listed [[2]](https://roundtable.io/sports/nba/bucks/news/milwaukee-bucks-announce-clean-injury-report-for-chicago-bulls-game). Nate Ament had an ankle injury before opening night and did not play in the opener, but he could make his NBA debut in this game [[2]](https://roundtable.io/sports/nba/bucks/news/milwaukee-bucks-announce-clean-injury-report-for-chicago-bulls-game). For the Bulls, Josh Giddey is listed as probable with a left wrist sprain [[2]](https://roundtable.io/sports/nba/bucks/news/milwaukee-bucks-announce-clean-injury-report-for-chicago-bulls-game). Giddey said he hurt his wrist in the preseason, had an MRI, and will play through it for a while [[3]](https://establishtherun.com/nba-matchups-october-23-2/). Nic Claxton is listed as out with a hamstring injury [[3]](https://establishtherun.com/nba-matchups-october-23-2/). The projected Bulls starters are Giddey, Norman Powell, Buzelis, Wilson and Jalen Smith [[3]](https://establishtherun.com/nba-matchups-october-23-2/). ## What to watch if you tune in Check the start time first, since the game was moved to the afternoon to avoid the World Series [[2]](https://roundtable.io/sports/nba/bucks/news/milwaukee-bucks-announce-clean-injury-report-for-chicago-bulls-game). Both teams are chasing a first win, so the result changes one of those records [[2]](https://roundtable.io/sports/nba/bucks/news/milwaukee-bucks-announce-clean-injury-report-for-chicago-bulls-game). Watch whether Ament makes his NBA debut for Milwaukee [[2]](https://roundtable.io/sports/nba/bucks/news/milwaukee-bucks-announce-clean-injury-report-for-chicago-bulls-game). On the Chicago side, watch Giddey's wrist, since he is probable and plans to play through the sprain, and Wilson's turnovers after his nine in the opener [[2]](https://roundtable.io/sports/nba/bucks/news/milwaukee-bucks-announce-clean-injury-report-for-chicago-bulls-game) [[3]](https://establishtherun.com/nba-matchups-october-23-2/). ## Sources 1.
